1. About My Theory Coach
My Theory Coach is an online learning service designed to help people prepare for the UK car driving theory test.
The service includes learning tools such as:
-
Practice questions and quizzes.
-
Short practice sessions and full mock tests.
-
Explanations to help learners understand answers.
-
Road signs and road markings.
-
Learning progress tracking.
-
Audio and language support where available.
-
Additional learning support for people with ADHD, autism, dyslexia or other learning difficulties.
The features available depend on the plan purchased.
My Theory Coach is an independent learning service. It is not operated by, endorsed by or affiliated with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).
Our questions are designed to help learners prepare for their theory test and are not presented as official DVSA examination questions.
2. Our Pricing Plans
My Theory Coach offers monthly subscriptions and a one-off Pass Access option.
The following prices apply to our current plans.
Standard: £9.99 per month

A seven-day free trial is available when selecting the Standard website subscription that advertises this offer.
Plus: £14.99 per month
Includes the Standard features plus additional language and translation support, including help understanding questions, words and phrases in the learner's chosen language.
A seven-day free trial is available when selecting the Plus website subscription that advertises this offer.
Standard App: £9.99 per month
Provides the Standard learning features.
This plan does not include an introductory free trial. Payment begins when the subscription is purchased.
Plus App: £14.99 per month
Provides the Plus learning features.
This plan does not include an introductory free trial. Payment begins when the subscription is purchased.
Pass Access: £39.99 one-off payment
Pass Access provides access to the Plus learning features for your UK car theory-test preparation until you pass.
It is a single payment, not a monthly subscription. It includes continued preparation if you do not pass your theory test on your first attempt.
There is no automatic monthly renewal and no additional subscription charge simply because you need more time or another attempt.
Pass Access is designed to support you until you pass your theory test. It is not advertised as permanent lifetime access after you have passed.
The price and features of your selected plan will be shown before payment is confirmed.
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP). Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be disclosed before purchase.
3. Seven-Day Free Trials
The seven-day free trial applies only to plans that specifically advertise it.
When a customer starts an eligible free trial:
-
They receive access to the features included in their chosen plan.
-
No monthly subscription charge is taken during the introductory trial.
-
The subscription will automatically become paid when the trial ends unless cancelled beforehand.
-
Standard then costs £9.99 per month.
-
Plus then costs £14.99 per month.
Customers who do not wish to continue must cancel before the trial ends.
Cancellation during the trial prevents the first monthly subscription charge, provided cancellation is completed within the deadline shown by the relevant payment provider.
The free trial is not available on the Standard App or Plus App plans and is not included with Pass Access.
Free-trial eligibility may be limited to new subscribers. Any restrictions will be made clear before purchase.
4. Monthly Subscriptions and Automatic Renewal
Standard and Plus monthly plans operate on a recurring monthly basis.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Each successful monthly payment provides access to the selected learning features for the relevant billing period.
There is no requirement to commit to a fixed number of months.
The next payment date is shown in the customer's subscription or payment account.
If a subscription price changes, customers will be given appropriate advance notice, and any consent required by law will be obtained. Customers may cancel before a price increase takes effect.
Customers on an existing or legacy plan will remain subject to the pricing and conditions applicable to that plan unless they agree to a change or a change is otherwise lawfully made.
5. Cancelling a Monthly Subscription
Customers may cancel a monthly subscription at any time.
For subscriptions purchased directly through our website, cancellation can normally be managed by signing into My Theory Coach and opening My Subscriptions in the account settings.
Customers may also contact us for assistance.
Cancellation stops future automatic renewals.
For a paid monthly subscription, access will normally continue until the end of the period already paid for.
Deleting the app or simply stopping its use does not cancel a subscription.
If a subscription was billed directly through Apple or Google, cancellation may need to be completed through the relevant Apple or Google subscription account.
Customers should complete cancellation before the next payment is due.
6. Pass Access Terms
Pass Access is a one-off purchase costing £39.99.
It is intended for learners who would prefer to pay once rather than maintain a monthly subscription.
Pass Access covers ongoing preparation towards passing the UK car driving theory test, including further attempts where the learner does not pass initially.
There is no monthly renewal or requirement to make another subscription payment for continued preparation covered by the plan.
Customers should notify us when they have passed their theory test. We may request reasonable confirmation before bringing Pass Access to an end.
We will not introduce an arbitrary calendar expiry or additional monthly charges to an existing Pass Access purchase.
Pass Access is personal to the purchasing learner and cannot be transferred or resold.
Cancellation and refund rights for Pass Access are explained below.
7. Payments and App Purchases
Payments are processed using the payment methods presented during checkout.
The identity of the payment provider, purchase price, billing arrangements and any free-trial conditions will be confirmed before purchase.
Where payment is processed directly by Apple, Google or another authorised payment provider, that provider's relevant payment, subscription and refund procedures may also apply.
Customers should retain their purchase confirmation or receipt.
If a payment is unsuccessful, access may be temporarily restricted until payment is resolved.
We will not knowingly introduce charges that were not disclosed and agreed to at checkout.
8. Refunds and Consumer Cancellation Rights
We aim to deal fairly with all refund and cancellation requests.
Monthly subscription renewals
If a monthly subscription renews and the customer has not accessed or used My Theory Coach at all since that renewal, they may contact us to request a refund.
We will normally approve a refund of an unused renewal payment where the request is reasonable and no service has been used during the renewed period.
If the service has been used following renewal, the payment is normally non-refundable under our voluntary refund policy, unless the customer has a statutory right to a refund or other remedy.
Initial purchases and Pass Access
Customers purchasing online may have a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right, generally lasting 14 days from entering the contract, subject to the applicable rules for digital content and services.
Where digital content is supplied immediately, the law may allow the cooling-off right to be lost only where the customer has given the necessary express consent and acknowledgement.
Where an ongoing service begins during the cooling-off period at the customer's express request, any charge for services supplied before a valid cancellation will be calculated in accordance with applicable law.
Using the service does not, by itself, remove rights that the law protects.
Faulty or unavailable services
If My Theory Coach is faulty, materially different from its description or unavailable in circumstances giving rise to a legal remedy, customers may be entitled to correction, replacement, an appropriate price reduction or a refund.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits customers' statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
To request a refund or raise a payment concern, contact info@mytheorycoach.co.uk.
9. Customer Accounts and Security
Customers must provide accurate information when creating an account or purchasing a plan.
Account access is personal and should not be shared with others.
Customers are responsible for keeping their login details secure.
We may take reasonable steps to prevent fraud, unauthorised access or misuse of the service.
If you believe someone else has accessed your account without permission, please contact us.
Learners under 18 should ask a parent or responsible adult to review the payment arrangements before purchasing.
10. Learning Content and Accuracy
My Theory Coach provides educational support and revision assistance.
We aim to provide accurate explanations and information based on UK road safety guidance and the Highway Code.
However, educational content, including automatically generated explanations, may occasionally contain errors or require updating.
Learners should refer to the current Highway Code and official DVSA guidance when checking important driving rules.
Using My Theory Coach does not guarantee success in the official theory test.
The outcome of any examination depends on the individual learner's knowledge, preparation and performance.
11. Neurodiversity and Accessibility Support
My Theory Coach has been developed with consideration for learners who may find traditional theory revision difficult.
This includes support intended to assist learners with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety and differing learning needs.
Available tools may include short learning sessions, simplified explanations, audio support, translation and opportunities to revisit information.
These features provide educational assistance and are not medical, psychological or diagnostic services.
We welcome feedback where a learner experiences accessibility difficulties and will consider reasonable improvements wherever practicable.
12. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to keep My Theory Coach available and working reliably.
Occasional interruptions may occur because of maintenance, technical faults, internet connections or third-party services.
We may update questions, improve explanations, introduce new learning features or modify existing functionality.
Any changes will be made reasonably and will not remove the essential benefits already paid for during an active paid period without an appropriate remedy where required.
If a significant technical problem prevents access, customers should contact us so that the issue can be investigated and resolved.
13. Acceptable Use and Intellectual Property
My Theory Coach, its original educational materials, question content, software, graphics and branding are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Customers may use the service for their own personal learning and revision.
They must not copy or distribute substantial parts of the content, sell account access, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with the operation or security of the service.
We may suspend or terminate access for serious misuse, fraud or a material breach of these terms, acting reasonably and subject to applicable consumer rights.
14. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect and use personal information to provide accounts, manage subscriptions, deliver learning features, support customers and maintain the service.
Learning progress and related information may be used to personalise the learner's revision experience.
Details about the information we collect, how it is used, and customers' data protection rights are provided in our Privacy Policy:
www.mytheorycoach.co.uk/privacy-policy
Customers should not submit payment card details, passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal information through ordinary support messages.
15. Liability and Consumer Protection
We are responsible for providing the service in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Nothing in these terms restricts a customer's statutory rights.
My Theory Coach is an educational aid and does not replace professional driving instruction or the official DVSA examination.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Business to reflect legal requirements, service improvements or changes to our products.
The latest version will be published on our website.
Where material changes affect an existing paid subscription or future renewal, customers will be informed in advance where required.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or benefits already purchased.
17. Complaints and Customer Support
If you experience a problem with payments, subscriptions, access, learning content or any other part of My Theory Coach, please contact us.
We aim to resolve complaints fairly and within a reasonable time.

Customers may also request information about their subscription, cancellation or refund rights.

Nothing in these terms prevents a consumer from exercising rights or bringing proceedings in a jurisdiction where applicable law permits them to do so.
